We arrived in Georgetown Exumas the day before the Exumas Regatta. A huge event for the region where traditional Bahamian sloops with way too much sail and not enough crew, compete for pride and prizes. But unfortunately we could not stay if we wanted to visit Conception Island this trip.

We wanted to head to conception but the wind did not cooperate. First we attempted Long Island Bahamas, but that too did not work. We fell off to George Town and had a race of sorts. As they say, if there are two sailboats on the water, its a race.

Sailing Ventolines makes its way to cat island to explore plantation ruins, the hermitage and we stumble across live "Rake N Scrape" at a beach bar. The people quickly help make this Island one of our favorites in the Bahamas

Our sailing family's adventure continues by retracing our steps through the Abacos. we get to experience a few new activities with our chosen family or tribe of other cruisers. The kids get to light the Hopetown light with the Light Keeper. Then we move on to Manjack and build deeper friendships.
